Brad North Bio

Brad North is an international consultant whose expertise is in maximizing the profitability of self-storage operations through improving sales, marketing, and operational efficiencies.  He has been in the self-storage industry since 1989 and has excelled as an owner, operator, consultant, and trainer.  He prides himself on only teaching the programs and principles he has tried, tested, and proven to be successful within his own operations.

Brad’s company, Advantage Consulting & Management has managed over 25 locations throughout various parts of the United States.  Brad and his team of experts have taken the majority of their locations to the top of the marketplace by offering their clients the best possible management service, putting an emphasis on sales, marketing, and operational effectiveness. ACM provides this competitive advantage through ongoing training, highly successful systems and tracking, and the ability to create an atmosphere of accountability within an organization. Brad’s philosophy is to create a culture of consistent, continual improvement that strives for excellence in all the key performance indicators of a business.

Brad and his team have helped thousands of self-storage operators improve their profitability through on-site consulting, sales/marketing training workshops, seminars, and feasibility studies on new and existing projects that are looking to expand.  Brad has written and produced video, audio, and workbook training tools entitled, ‘Maximizing Your Sales and Marketing Program,’ which has helped thousands of self-storage managers take their operations to a higher level. He regularly writes articles for industry publications—including Inside Self-Storage magazine, for which he is a recognized columnist—and speaks at state and national self-storage conferences.  Brad has served on the Board of Directors for both the Ohio and Georgia Self-Storage Associations and is a moderator on Self-Storage Talk.  He is also a faculty member for the Self-Storage Training Institute.

Over the years, Brad has launched several other businesses outside of self-storage and is an advocate for start-ups that create passive and residual income.  He previously headed up a Business Ministry in his local church with the aim of helping others launch their dream of business ownership.
